Jim brings over three decades of experience in education to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County. After serving in Carroll County Public Schools for 31 years—as a physical education teacher, coach, school administrator, and central office supervisor—he now plays a key role in expanding Club programming and operations across the county. He oversees operations at all five Club sites, ensuring high-quality programming and a safe, engaging environment for members. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, Jim coordinates volunteers, student mentors, and work-study staff by partnering with McDaniel College and Carroll Community College. This program provides college students with hands-on learning experiences and paid work opportunities, allowing them to gain valuable skills while supporting Club youth. His leadership helps strengthen community partnerships, expand outreach, and create meaningful opportunities for Club members to learn and grow. Jim has a master’s degree in education with a specialization in working with at-risk students and is passionate about using his experience to support the Club’s mission.
