What are Boys & Girls Clubs?

For kids, Clubs are safe places where they can be themselves and participate in fun programs that build their skills for school, the workforce and life.

For parents, the Club is a support system you can count on providing mentors, snacks and meaningful life experiences for youth ages 6-18 after school and during the summer.  We call that a win-win.

When the weather gets warm, and school gets out for the summer – that’s when the real fun begins at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County! Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County’s Summer Camp offers something for every Club Member – and the best part is that they learn while they are having fun! Our Summer Camp provides quality educational experiences, physical activities, and a safe environment that lets children have fun just being kids. Our goal is to provide children with experiences that will help them stay active, healthy, and intellectually stimulated. Camp provides a summer of fun and excitement while offering the peace of mind that comes with knowing that kids are in a safe place with caring adult professionals.

Kahlert Leadership Academy for Middle and High School Youth

The Kahlert Leadership Academy empowers middle and high school youth to become well-rounded, confident, and influential leaders in both their personal lives and future careers. Our weeklong summer sessions utilize hands-on experiences, guidance from mentors, and opportunities for growth, to help our young people grow into confident, capable, and compassionate leaders who can positively impact their communities.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carroll County is dedicated to fostering an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion where all youth are embraced for who they are and provided with equitable opportunities to thrive. We believe that every young person has the right to be themselves, to feel a sense of belonging, and to access resources that pave the way for a great future.

Inspiring Positive Change

Our mission revolves around unlocking the potential inherent in every youth. We offer experiences and opportunities that positively shape their lives, irrespective of their socio-economic background, race, skin color, gender expression, or any other factor contributing to societal inequities and prejudices.

Inclusive Environment

We cultivate inclusive spaces where all youth are encouraged to express themselves freely. We foster an environment where they can deepen their understanding of diversity and respect for others. Through engaging in community service, participating in leadership programs, and amplifying their voices on critical issues such as racial equity and social justice, our Club members collaborate to effect positive change and envision a brighter future.

People

We empower Club leaders and staff to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the organization. They serve as supportive allies for youth leaders, ensuring that every member feels valued and respected.
